Chili Peppers

You can grow your own pepper plant either from the seeds from your kitchen or buy the seeds from the local nursery. They look great, and you can pick off what you need anytime you want it. You can choose either sweet peppers or chili peppers to propagate. The fruit are of different colors at various stages of growth, and they look great on your windowsill. Pepper plants also have pretty flowers.

Here’s how:

1. Take the seeds and bury them near the surface in a shallow pot with drain holes and moist soil, covering them with just a thin layer of topsoil.

2, Allow the seeds to germinate indoors, preferably on top of the refrigerator where it is warm.

3. Make sure the soil doesn’t dry out and check daily to see if they are starting to sprout. It will take some days so just wait.

4. Relocate the pot to a shaded area of the window sill when sprouts appear as they need indirect sunlight.

5. As soon as leaves start to unfurl, transport the plants to a pot with more soil to allow the roots to grow more. Water regularly.

6. Flowers will start to bloom after a few days and then the first fruits will put in an appearance. You can start harvesting as the fruits mature.
